Wollongong & Nan Tien Temple

This weekend Gill and I went to Wollongong, about 80km south of Sydney. We also went to the Nan Tien Buddhist Temple, which is also on the south coast of NSW. The first few photos are of Balmain, including the flowers on the balcony outside, the 19th century Balmain Watch House and church (with jacarandas).

We stopped at a pub in Scarborough on the way, set on the edge of some cliffs with a great view; by the time we got to the temple there was a monsoon-like storm which made it seem all the more south east Asian. The sun returned today, so we checked out some of the beaches on the way back to Sydney.
