Well it's the end of another busy, busy week. With Kit away I've been able to spend more time with Fozzie, my teddy bear of around 30 years, who's been somewhat neglected since his epic 3 month voyage by sea to get here. We've had a number of good discussions this week; his approach to debate is somewhat 'minimalistic' - his philosophy, I think, is "less is more" - and it's certainly effective as a way of showing that he's seen straight through my reasoning. On such occasions I know that he knows that I know he knows that my logic is flawed. It can be an embarassing moment for both of us, and you could cut the air with a knife. Still, he's kind enough not to labour the point and humiliate me by spelling it out, and I appreciate the gesture. 

Over breakfast, Fozzie listens impassively during a debate about the proposed Emissions Trading Scheme and its implications for the rural economy.
