I am beginning to get concerned that my blog is a bit dull. As is well known, 'very dull' is fine, because 'very dull' is unusual these days and that rarity in fact makes 'very dull' paradoxically quite interesting; but 'a bit dull' is like Ronseal - it does exactly what it says on the tin. It may be that some of you just can't be arsed to comment or get a yahoo/gmail account in order to comment (that's fine, really), or it maybe it's just that I'm the only person reading this. Anyway, in true contemporary tv fashion, it's time to ask you, the audience (if you exist that is, of which there is no guarantee, though I'm not prepared to venture in to such Lockian questions late on a Saturday night / Sunday morning*), what you want to see here.
The blog is a bit one way for me (given the paucity of comments / banter) so please can I encourage you to either (i) add a comment - no matter how inane (you can't be more inane than Paul) (ii) write me an email (iii) Skype me (bloody hell, can you imagine the shock when I got an incoming Skype call from Pattison?) or even any combination of the above. Right, bed time.
(*I think it was Locke who posed the question - 'if a woman says something, and there is no man there to hear her, is she still wrong?')
Apparently some of you are having trouble posting comments. If so please let me know. Or if you've had problems but have worked out how to do it, perhaps you could share your wisdom? I find it helps to 'preview' before posting.
ReplyDeleteWhat is all this?
ReplyDeleteIt's a story about some guy who moves to Australia to start a new life as a woman
ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty low to sign in anonymously, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteHehe. To prove my dedication to your blog, I have set it as my homepage - so you have at least one loyal follower. :-) Keep up the good work, I say! You might not be getting that many contributors because we don't have much exciting news to relay at the moment. Tales of traveling into work on the tube cannot really compare to your stories of starting a new life down under. If you're interested, though, my gran is down this weekend and Paul and I took her to Kew Gardens yesterday. The sunny weather has finally returned, so fingers crossed for a decedent summer over here! x
ReplyDeleteWow - thanks Vix. Hope you've had a good weekend with Paul and your gran. I bet she likes him - he's got that cheeky little grin that grans just love. Ah, I miss Paulie. Ok, that's enough I think.... x
ReplyDeleteIt could of course be us, your audience, who are a bit dull and can't think of anything interesting enough in the way of comment. Are we are just keep our envy at bay. But either way, be assured, I am keep track!
ReplyDeleteB***er, made the effort to comment and made a hash of it! That should read "Or we are just keeping ........." "I am keeping track...."
ReplyDeleteSorry to make such a mess of comment no.1
No, that's good Merry - that takes it up to 8 comments, and with my reply, 9, which is looking very healthy. I have a little icon next to comments I post that allows me to edit what I wrote / delete it (that might just be me though).
ReplyDeleteGood to know you're out there! x
I'm reading your blog too bro. Mum & Dad are, but the chances of them EVER being able to comment, as you can probably imagine are pretty slim! xxx
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Mark. Moving so far away was enough of an upheaval. We wouldn't expect you to become interesting all of a sudden. That said, I miss our trips to the toilet. x
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the toilet photo montage I did? There is also a DCI / Andy montage link on the blog where DCI introduces Andy to 8% ale....
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how long it would take you to do a "is anybody reading this" blog - I thought you'd break before you did so well done you! x
