me and Pete!
Our driver, Troll, took us around North Sydney, the city, Woolloomooloo, Mrs Maquarie's Chair and the Botanic Gardens and Kings Cross before finishing at the Lord Nelson Brewery in The Rocks.
Ex-Hells Angels Trevor, or "Troll" as he is better known, poses with his trike outside The Lord Nelson. The trike's done over 900 000km, including a trip to Alice Springs and back.
You might think that I have nothing in common with Trol.... however, we do share an appreciation of Lord Nelson's Three Sheets, so he couldn't help but join us for a pint at the end of the tour.
Being in The Rocks on a sunny Friday morning, and with Pete having taken the day off work, it seemed only sensible to make the most of the day.
View from the Glenmore Hotel's rooftop bar, The Rocks
.... and a view of the Glenmore from the yard at The Argle
What better way to round off a beautiful day around the harbour than with dinner at Aria?
And what better than to round of a lovely meal at Aria with Long Island Ice Teas and a romantic photo at Opera Bar?

Hehe. Looks good fun! x
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was! I'd definitely recommend doing it too.
DeleteOne of the things I loved was that you're not cocooned and cut off from the world around you as is the case in an air-conditioned car.
Cruising around North Sydney you could smell breakfast in the cafes, get snippets of conversation as people sip their lattes while you wait for the lights to change; and I noticed buildings and details I've driven past many times and had been totally unaware of. Plus everyone looks at you and smiles!
