Top 10 Highlights of 2013

In no particular order, my highlights of 2013....

1. Our wedding and everything surrounding it (September) - it was simply wonderful to have my family and friends here.

2. Acquiring another awesome nephew, Archie (October).

3. Being in the ANZ Stadium for The British & Irish Lions victory over Australia (July) - and having our own private training session with the Lions squad about 4 hours before the game outside the stadium! I don't think going to the SCG next week for the Ashes will feature in the 2014 list somehow...

4. Honeymoon in Lord Howe Island (October). Fine dining every night and Jurassic Park scenery without the dinosaurs.

5.  Completing my Diploma in Education (September): 3.5 years, numerous late nights and $10 000 later!

6. The Hunter Valley, the Armidale Wedding & Port Maquarie holiday (January). Anna & Matt's wedding in Armidale, followed by an impromptu week with the Asburkes in Port Macquarie.

7. Bowral and Canberra (July). The paintings of Jackson Pollock and Sidney Nolan were highlights of our Canberra trip, not to mention all the wineries.

8. Getting permanent residency (September); a big deal as it's not easy to get and is pretty expensive.

9. South Coast holiday (January): Jervis Bay in the summer sunshine; white sand, bushwalks and amazing desserts.

10. Moving to Lane Cove (December). Easily the best place we've ever lived (and yes, I include that flat in Balmain East with the Harbour Bridge view).

A massive thank you to all those who came to see us from across the seas; Adrian back in April and then my family and friends for the wedding - we had just the most amazing time and have some very special memories.

Thank you to everyone who helped make 2013 a wonderful year for both of us
