Being a 4pm kick off, we obviously went for a pub lunch beforehand. And as we were going for a pub lunch, we obviously went for a pre-lunch drink at another pub before that. After the game we walked to Chinatown to a restaurant we've been to a few times; but given that the route passed a James Squire pub, we obviously stopped for a couple of beers there. After the Chinese we ended up in a serious karaoke pub, where we brought the average age down considerably, before heading back to our flat to finish off a bottle of port and try out some Glavia (the scotch for people like me who don't drink scotch). Oh yes, I think the Waratahs won the footy.
Gill has been on her first 'prac' for the last couple of weeks at her old school in Kings Langley, plus with uni assignments to do it's been a busy time, so the Easter long weekend provided a welcome break. We have one week of school to go before the end of Term 1, with the Year 12 Retreat to the mountains for the last three days, and then Adrian arrives from Ireland. We've had five days of rain with more to come, so I'm hoping things will clear up by the middle of next week.
This weekend will feature watching the rugby in the pub (the Tahs are away to a NZ team today) with Matt and Anna, then tomorrow we're heading out west to help Wayne install his new outdoor pizza oven....
