Building a pizza oven

This weekend we went out to Kings Langley so I could help shift Wayne's new pizza oven in to place. The pizza oven came with an instructional dvd presented by a couple of Irishmen, who refer several times to the printed instructions, which, er, were not supplied.

 Assessing the job

Preparing to lift the back piece - 120kg of concrete - in to place.

Manoevering the back piece on dowling rods

 laying the insulation

Scaring the small children who are safely imprisoned inside

 laying the jigsaw of tiles

The Great Escape

Freedom!

Applying the stainless steal piece at the front

Beer o'clock - having applied clay sealant to the pieces so that the heat is locked in

 look no hands!

Baby Matthew - Gill's second (third? I've no idea how this works) cousin

 The wine cellar

The next day: applying chicken wire over the tin foil, which is wrapped over the insulation, which is wrapped over the outside of the oven.

Wrapping the chicken wire over the foil - one of the hardest stages of the construction

Fitting the flue in to place

The next stage is the rendering of the oven, followed by..... PIZZA!
