A pair of kookaburras perching on our balcony wall this morning (one carrying a lizard in its beak, though you can't quite see that in the photo!)
Ed aptly described to me getting engaged as 'nudging the boulder'; well, the boulder has gained considerable momentum in the 10 days since I asked the question. We have chosen a ring, a wedding date and a venue; not bad at all. We're picking up the ring this week and will be putting a deposit down on the venue in the next few days having reserved it yesterday. The date will be Friday 27th September 2013.
Photos of the ring will appear on the blog soon! We have also decided on the venue here in Australia - it's awesome! Send me a quick email/add a comment here if you'd like to see some photos....
In the meantime, here's a quick video clip of the view from our balcony that I took this morning (not quite as exciting, admittedly, but still pretty cool). We're on the top floor (third) of a small apartment block, with a southerly aspect; the clip moves from a view to the south west across the water to the city to the east.
