The same day I was at the SCG for the cricket, so too were two former Australian Prime Ministers. A shot of John Howard sitting in the members' stand was displayed on the big screen (to widespread boos), whilst Bob Hawke was filmed - to loud cheers and applause - walking through the throng of raucous Indian fans down in the cheap seats. At one point a huge roar went up from that part of the ground; it was impossible to see what had happened, but this clip captured the moment and has since gone viral on YouTube:
"One for the country, Robert!" - I guess at 82 and having won four consecutive general elections, you can do whatever you like.
