Sam in Sydney

Sam arrived on Wednesday night - so, understandably, I'm exhausted as we've been on the go since. We went straight to the latter stages of my staff Christmas party which was in Balmain (and a real baptism of fire). After the mandatory trip to Bertoni's on Thursday morning (photo to follow soon) we went to Bondi and walked to Tamarama, as seen in the photos below. After lunch at Watson's Bay we took a short walk around the cliffs of The Gap, the entry to Port Jackson. Since then we've been mostly - er - shoppingand present wrapping. Last night Sam, Gill and I had a great Mexican meal in Glebe - during which I was hit on by the manager who gave us six amazing Oysters for free, and I was given a course in chilli sauces and the Scoville Test (with handout and table), including, by far the hottest sauces I have ever tasted, or will. And a Voodoo Doll fridge magnet as a prize.

This evening Sam and I went to see Arj Barker (aka 'Dave' from Flight of the Conchords) at the Enmore Theatre, which was a lot of fun.
