Royal Randwick and Picnic in Mosman

Whilst Sam and Tom headed to Brisbane and from there flew to Alice Springs, I flew back to Sydney on Saturday morning. Gill met me at the airport and I changed in to a suit as we drove straight to Randwick Racecourse in the Eastern Suburbs. At the fancy dress party Ludo and I went to a few months ago, he won first prize in a raffle - four Members tickets for Randwick races. As interesting as watching the horses (and more interesting than losing money) was carrying out an extensive critique of what everyone was wearing. Given some of the woeful decisions made by many in the Members Area I cannot imagine what the General Admission section looked like....

Wearing Gill's "hatinator" (as Ludo dubbed it)

With Ludo and Toby (Ludo's friend on holiday here from Switzerland)

On Sunday Meg, Pete and Patrick (Gill's sister, brother-in-law and nephew) came to Mosman for the evening and we took a picnic down to Chinaman's Beach, a short walk from Gill's apartment.

Patrick takes dad for a swim

Meg and Gill drink champagne whilst Pete does the hard work

 Storm clouds roll in....

For those who access the blog from a mobile, there should now be a 'mobile friendly' version which should make viewing a little easier....
