Newington, Balmoral & first day in Noosa

On Sunday morning Sam and I went to check out my school - it looks awesome in the sunshine, so it was a good day to see it and take some photos. The rest of the day, and night, was spent at Balmoral, a sheltered beach on the North Shore where Gill's best friend, Angelique, was celebrating her birthday. Being a non-surf beach well away from the city it has a family atmosphere and doesn't have the scores of teenagers and tourists parading themselves up and down the sand.

So we ate some food, drank far too much beer and wine, and, at the persistent demands of my sister, went for a late night swim (at about 11pm).

Despite some technical difficulties Sam and I successfully met up with Tom today at the Sunshine Coast airport. It's a short drive to Noosa, where we checked in to our palatial and capacious apartment right by the ocean at Sunshine Beach, before heading out on a bush walk.

My arm and Sam's arm: given her bronzed skin and my freckles, we are clearly not related.

Unfortunately (minus the hair) it seems that Gill and I are....

Happy.

Cold and grumpy

  2. All I have to say is, slack!
Out of all the lovely photos you could have uploaded from Balmoral beach, you put up the post swim, post a million beers shot! (Oh, and a picture implying we're related!)
That's it, I'm starting my own blog, with the sole intention of posting awful photos of you on it. ;)
