Newington College Ad

It's the last few days of the winter holiday, which I'm spending writing schemes of work for school interspersed with trips to Asetra, my local cafe, for coffees and lunch. I've had the result of the first of my six units for my DipEd today - I got a 'D' (which, thankfully, here means Distinction). I know I will have dropped a fair few marks in my final exam, which I did about a month ago. I was asked to write an essay about what sort of teacher I would like to be (!), and so I went off on a rant about administration and paperwork getting in the way of the job. It happened to be the day my reports were due and I had to hot foot it back to school immediately afterwards to enter them on to the computer system!

Not much else to report this week; this evening Jen and I went over to Aviva's new place in Marrickville for an excellent Thai takeaway and logic games, and tomorrow I'm meeting Sian for lunch.

My school has embarked upon a marketing campaign this year - it has just taken out a 60 second advert which is being played in cinemas. The music was composed by a Year 12 boy. Anyway, here it is:
