The move has gone well - far less stressful than it might have been had we not had two Brazilians - "Two Men and a Truck" to do all our heavy lifting, and Dave the Carpenter to do the dismantling and reconstructing of furniture. Here's the story of the day....
Awaiting the arrival of Two Men a a Truck, 7.30am on Saturday morning....
The truck arrives and the loading begins.....
Kit makes himself useful by staring in to the back of the truck, whilst Dave the Carpenter, assisted by his Merv Hughes tache, loads the wardrobe in to his ute....
Bruno the Brazilian unloads at the new house.
Exahusted from his supervisory role, Kit collapses on the sofa in the new lounge, with a skinny mocha from Bertoni (that's a type of coffee, not a euphemism).
It would seem that, with the rear doors open, a very different, and, it has to be said, much more appealing service appears to be on offer....
Job done - 'Good on ya fellas'
On the balcony this evening - about to open a bottle of Spitfire.
It's rubbish here.
NB If you would like my new address, please drop me an email and I send it to you.
