The UK General Election has received good coverage here and I will be avidily following the results as they come in this morning during my free periods. Despite my efforts it looks as though I won't have been able to vote - I applied for a postal vote in my Greenwich constituency, but was told that they could not release ballot papers until 10 days before the election, which would have left insufficient time for it to have got to me and back by the end of polling day. So instead I nominated a proxy to vote on my behalf, but it seems the Council haven't got around to posting it to him anyway.
The weather continues to be great - sunny days, low 20s all week and this weekend, which I gather is quite unseasonal. The temperature does drop a bit at night though, and I wore a jacket on one occasion this week for the first time since September.
I will take some photos this weekend as it's been a while since any Sydneyscapes appeared on the blog. I'm also meeting up with several ex-Trinity boys on Saturday night (OMWs 09) in Balmain - it's Australia v NZ in the rugby league, so that should be entertaining.
Yesterday morning I was sat outside Bertoni with Kit and Jen, when a passing bus stopped in the middle of the road - the bus driver honked the horn several times, turned to the cafe and mimed ordering a coffee, before driving off. 10 minutes later he arrived on foot to collect it. On which note, it's time to go there myself....
