Yesterday was hot, so I went to Coogee for a swim - as I was on my own I didn't want to go in the surf and leave my stuff on the beach, so I went to Wylies Baths - it's only $3, where at low tide you get to swim in calm sea water just a few yards from waves that crash in to the rocks - it gives the feeling of swimming in the ocean without the risk of being dashed to pieces on the rocks or being eaten by a shark, or both (there's a small risk of a 'bluey' at high tide).

Today though, it's chucking it down - and will be all day. So I thought it only fair to balance things up a little and include a photo of the rain, as I suspect some maybe getting pretty sick of my pictures of sunny beaches when in the UK the sun's disappeared for 3 months.

I hope all the end of term Christmas parties were fun (I received just the one drunken phone message...);  it was always the highlight of the year for me at Trinity.
