More observant and regular visitors may have noticed that I have given the blog a bit of a makeover today - I've added a few gadgets, including a clock, weather, a fish tank (please feel free to feed the fish from time to time - but don't over do it), and at the bottom of the page an Aussie slang decoder. I've also rejigged the layout a bit, and changed some of the photos around. This, of course, has nothing whatsoever to do with me having oodles of time on my hands. Views welcome, as ever.

In other news, Antonio was installing an ice cream dispensing cabinet at Bertoni's today - which is going to be a must on a hot sunny day. On getting a falafel wrap for lunch from the new Mediterranean cafe this afternoon, I was given a free passionfruit and mango smoothie - the chef was experimenting with new flavours. It was awesome - so I will definitely have to go back...

This evening I'm going to take the ferry to Circular Quay and visit the Markets by Moonlight on The Rocks, which are happening every Friday until Christmas.

Following repeated pleas for an update on the long running (*) footwear story, I thought I would include a photo of one of my new running shoes (here being modelled by my left foot), and the right 'thong' of my new pair of 'Havianas' (being modelled by my right foot); they are, I am reliably informed, the height of summer cool in these parts and also help to prevent one from being mistaken for a European tourist. The permanently sunburnt nose and English accent, however, I can do little about....
