Due to the 'snow event' or whatever the technical term is for 'a bit cold', Robert and George were stranded at Gatwick for four hours on Monday evening, so that by the time they arrived in Dubai they had missed their connection and have had to spend a day and night there - which means they are not now arriving until Christmas Eve.


In the last few hours I have dealt with an invasion of ants in Kit's bedroom, a cockroach in the toilet, a spider in the bathroom and Harry the Lizard in the lounge. Whilst the first two results were emphatic 'home' wins, the last two were nil-all draws; I quite like Harry as he eats insects, and I didn't have a glass big enough to catch the spider, who fell in to the 'shoot' rather than 'swat' size category....
