So I've completed a full week as an after school childcare assistant - and I have actually enjoyed it. Today I made lemonade (ie squeezed a few lemons and added water and sugar) which seemed to go down well.


I've run home from work the last three days - so much better waiting for a bus around Town Hall which is always totally rammed between 6 and 7. Yesterday was really hot - but as I ran home the storm clouds had gathered and it chucked it down. It was great on the Anzac Bridge though as there was forked lightening over the hills to the north, and a rainbow east above the Harbour Bridge. It's a good 30 minute run with a rucksack, and mostly uphill, but there are some great views on the way and, of course, it saves on bus fares.  I'm not sure whether or not they need me next week - I'll find out on Monday. The pay is just about enough to cover my food and groceries, but it keeps me out of trouble....
