I went for a lovely walk down to by the water today and watched a celebrity 20-20 match at Birchgrove Oval (5 mins walk from the house) organised by the McGrath Foundation (set up in memory of the wife of Glenn McGrath) involving 'celebrities' ('Home and Away' style), NRL players and a local cricket side. Many of the trees are in blossom at the moment - jasmine and lavender in particular - as well as the purple flowered jacarandah trees (like the one in the photo above; Kit and Ludo are sat on the bench to the left of the tree).
