It's all about Seoul

It took 9 hours on the plane to come up with that one.

So I'm sat in Seoul airport, with plenty of time to contemplate why on earth I am doing this. I've been completely overwhelmed by everyone's ability to resist the temptation to mercilessly ridicule me and be really lovely over the past couple of weeks. I'm already missing people!

This is all a bit of an adventure and I've no idea how it's going to turn out. I can't really think clearly about anything at the moment (though some would say the last three words were superfluous) so I'm just going to take it all a day or two at a time and enjoy it. I'm totally exhausted. I guess when most people do something like this they do it as part of a couple, or about 10 years younger; whether I'm brave or foolish, it'll work out one way or another.

Right, that's enough naval gazing for now. All went well on the last day - got everything packed, the flat sorted (largely due to Andy it must be said), and had a couple of drinks in Greenwich and Heathrow. Rachel came to see me off, too. Andy said that any remaining respect he had for me would vanish if there were any tears; so I managed to hold it together until I went through Security.

Right, time to find some water.
