England: (3) Hampshire

After a week staying in Greenwich, we drove south west to Hampshire to stay with my sister Sam, Tom and baby Olivia.

A very English pond

" I remember when all this used to be fields"

Dinner at the Chesil Rectory, Winchester. Dating back to 1450 and the reign of Henry VI (during the Wars of the Roses), it was later owned by Henry VIII and bequeathed to his daughter, Mary Tudor (Mary I). For the past 50 years it has been a restaurant - fine British dining at its best. This photo was taken during a lull in the screaming of the baby girls!

Another fine pub - The English Partridge, in a small Hampshire hamlet

Gearing up for England's exit from the Rugby World Cup

You can always spot an Australian. And it's not the canary yellow that gives her away.

Yep, still trying to get that beer

"There, there Olivia, we'll only be four at the next World Cup"

Could this child look more English?
