First family outing

Whilst some of the advice we have received has been along the lines of "don't even try and leave the house for the first three weeks", we nevertheless decided to venture forth today for a family trip to Balmain. At the moment, Maeve does most of her sleeping during the day, which on one hand means that sleep is impaired significantly, but that daytime trips are feasible - at the moment.

Enjoying a coffee on Darling Street, Balmain. Bertoni is just down the road, but is not especially baby-friendly as it's so popular.

There are more prams in Balmain than anywhere on the planet, so it's easy to blend in.

One of the most baby-friendly pubs in the Inner West; indeed, one of the best pubs in Sydney - is The Three Weeds, which was our local pub when we used to live in Rozelle. It was ideal spot for lunch and a pint (or two) of London Pride in celebration of Maeve being one week old today.
