Lane Cove

We're now settled in to our new home in Lane Cove; it's a beautiful north-west facing, two bedroom unit overlooking the Lane Cove River and Lane Cove National Park. Here's a video from our balcony, and a few photos from the path that runs in front of our apartment block. With the sun hitting the balcony in the late afternoon and evening, the open-plan design and the 180 degree panoramic view of the bush and the river, it's a ideal spot for a beer or a glass of wine on a summer's evening. There's a fair amount of birdlife - cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets, Australian myners, brush turkeys and every morning at about 3.30am and again around sunset, a chorus (or rather, cacophony) of kookaburras.
