View Balmain-Rozelle Pub Crawl in a larger map
Participating were:
Pubs 1-11: me, Pete, Wayne, Andrew
Pubs 2-11: Paul (Meg's friend Sarah's husband), Michael
Pubs 1-7: Simon (Pete's mate)
Pubs 2-7 (?): Tycho
Pubs 1-3: Matt (Anna's boyfriend) and Cole (Laura's boyfriend)
Pub 1: The London Hotel
Starting in Balmain, this very popular English style pub has a view of the Harbour Bridge from its outside gallery; it also serves Little Creatures (one of the best) on tap.
Wayne gets in round number 2.
Pub 3: The Dry Dock Hotel
No idea what Pete is doing with his right hand
It's already too much for Andrew
Pub 4: The William Wallace Hotel
Wayne orders his beer before even getting in the door
From left to right: Tycho, Michael, Wayne, Andrew, Simon, Pete, Paul, me
Pub 5: The Riverview Hotel
Controversially, Pete and I decided we could slip in an extra pub, the Riverview (my old local when I moved here).
I've no idea what Paul is saying, but Wayne is really not impressed
I make that five chins
Check out my forearm
The problem with taking photos when we left each pub is that I'm the only one who knows where we're going next
"Hi Meg, sorry, won't be back til late 2nite. Need to go 2 work"
.....'work'
Pub 7: The Exchange Hotel
Happy Birthday Kathy
An Englishman's motto: never leave home without a jumper
"Mmm, Tycho does have a great arse" (that girl in white looks familiar....)
Holding it together - so far
Wayne is unimpressed by Michael's tummy rub
Pub 8: The Welcome Hotel
The Welcome, a genuine Irish pub, was rammed - only mid afternoon and it was like 10pm; loud, drunken and with a live music band playing Hotel California and other anthems.
Paul, Pete and a couple of randoms perform their version of YMCA, apparently called "£*|^"
Pete tries hard to increase the chin count
It was only a matter of time before somebody dropped their trousers...
Pub 9: The Ruby L'otel
Michael sits this one out
... whilst I probably should have sat this one out
It's all getting a little blurry...
Pete is given permission to run around on the grass
Pub 10: The Three Weeds Hotel
Five schooners of Lord Nelson's "Three Sheets"
Having successfully avoided talking to the girls when our paths crossed in The Exchange (Pub 7), we had no such luck in The Three Weeds (Pub 10); Pete knows he's breaking the rules
..... though clearly Wayne doesn't care
Special School's Christmas Party
Angelique and Gill
Pub 11: The Red Lion Hotel
The Hardcore....
Whilst Michael maintains excellent posture and Pete needs the support of the table, Andrew's clearly had enough
