Sculpture By The Sea 2010

On Friday night Gill and I went to see an excellent Bell Shakespeare production of Twelfth Night at the Opera House. The set consisted of a 10 foot high pile of discarded clothes in the middle of the stage, with all the characters being played by only six actors. It was a distinctively Australian interpretation - Sir Toby Belch was played as a bogan Aussie, drunk on Toohey's New; the other male characters were all very camp and to add to the confusion of the cross dressing, Olivia and Maria were both played by men (indeed only Viola/Cesario was played by a woman). The several musical interludes included Walking on Sunshine, featuring the massively butch Malvolio dressed in a black and yellow lycra. Definitely one of the best, and funniest, productions I've seen of the play.

Yesterday we took advantage of the glorious weather to see this year's Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, situated on the coastal walk between Bondi and Tamarama. Here are the pick of the photos....
