Today was our walking tour of Santiago - plenty of parks and broad streets mitigate the smog and traffic, which clog the arteries of the city and its inhabitants. A highlight today was the Santiago equivalent of Tate Modern, featuring an exhibition in the main hall (the first picture below) and a fascinating exhibition called 'Gold and Silver' which traced the history of colonisation of South America via those two metals. We had a fairly chilled day today, but things should liven up from tomorrow when we fly north - there are plenty of things that can go wrong. In the meantime, thank you to all those who are still reading the blog and for your messages of encouragement!
You shall always have flowers. What a fantastically poetic typo. Loving the blog!x
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing out the typo George... I meant to say 'followers', but on reflection have removed the sentence... I blame the excellent local wine...
