University Challenge

I have one week to go before I finish my four university courses at UNSW, and have three tests coming up, which are designed to assess how well I have understood the material delivered in the lectures (and whether or not I've turned up for them).

The questions must be completed in 3 one hour sessions next week. Here they are:

• What causes the end of empires?

• How did the events of the first half of the twentieth century impact upon the second half of the twentieth century?

• 'We [Australia] have little interest in Asia, apart from a hard-edged interest in security and trade. The rest is a matter of indifference’ (John Fitzgerald). Discuss.
