Back to uni

Tomorrow is the start of the second half of the semester, so it's back to lectures and tutorials. I've had a productive week of study; an essay on the Australian and allied attitudes to Japan and how these were expressed in the Pacific War, a study of the rise of consumerism and Americanis/zation in Europe post-1945, and an essay on the causes and consequences of decolonisation in French Indochina. Today was hot: 33 degrees, so I didn't mind be in an air-conditioned library this afternoon. It's not normally that hot this time of year; it will be a cool 24 tomorrow.

At the risk of yet another Harbour Bridge photo, I took this the other day whilst waiting at Balmain East wharf for the ferry (far left). Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to write than went to the Library / for a coffee / took a ferry in the next few weeks. But I can't promise anything....
