A-level Results Day

I was sat in my lecture this evening at around 6pm desperate to leave so I could find out the A-level results, knowing that the boys would be at school waiting to get their envelopes. Weird that I'm not there.

Having tried to get hold of someone from Trinity when I got in, Dicko kindly sent me a quick email with the overall results and it was lovely of Sam Webster to phone to give me some info on the RS grades. I am really delighted with the A-level results - 90.1% A & B is up 7% from last year and exceeds the target the Head set last September. Given that this blog is effectively all about me, I might as well milk it a bit more (not that I can claim the credit really, but anyway) - when I took the job on we were at 76% (it had crept up from 70% from 2002).

I've not heard the individual results for my RS boys, and am anxiously waiting to get them;  but I know as a department we had around 14 A grades, 16 B grades, ) and 1C - which is really tremendous and Esmond will be really pleased. Just a shame I'm not there to share it with the rest of the RS staff and the boys.

  2. Just seen the RS A-level stats - with the second highest number of boys entered, the department have 97% A & B grades. Shame I'll miss the champagne in September!

  3. Just to update you on Drama & Theatre Studies AS results. All got As, so that takes us from 0-100% in one leap! So pleased for the boys
