the end is nigh

Several times over the last week I've been reminded of that sketch by Chris Morris (I think it's from Brass Eye) about the man who thought it was a shame that when he died he wouldn't be able to hear all the lovely things said about him at his funeral, so he decided to have a pre-death funeral, in which he lay in a coffin with a glass window so he got to enjoy it and see what was going on.

On a similar note, I would just like to point out that I'm going to Australia - I'm not actually dying (as far as I know, anyway).

Everyone has been so ridiculously lovely to me over the last couple of weeks I am wondering why on earth I'm doing this. I'm sat in my flat, I have a permanent hangover/drunken haze, and I'm surrounded by an absolute mess of boxes and 'stuff'. Given that I have a huge amount left to do before I go on Wednesday night (not factoring in the unknown unknowns), I've decided my best course of action at this point is to go out and get drunk again.

I will post some of the photos documenting the last week (not, I may need to remind you, the last week of my life - again, as far as I know anyway) as soon as I can. There are some real crackers.
